Know your Basics - Perspective
Perspective comes in different forms, the most obvious & basic of which is the use of the word in relation to the appearance of relative orientation in a three dimensional space. At first, it may seem irrelevant to photomanipulators, (because, hey, the photographs already are perspectively sound,) but putting more than one photograph in context requires that you learn to see what makes sense and what doesn't.
The Technical Stuff
Perspective (from Latin perspicere, to see through) in the graphic arts, such as drawing, is an approximate representation, on a flat surface (such as paper), of an image as it is seen by the eye. The two most
As my last journal here (dated January 2011!) said, I was and still am fond of the positive reception my little comic strips get. But as you probably have noticed, they aren't nearly as numerous as I'd hoped them to be. Still, with 10 strips and one "special" I'd call it a success after all. If you like them, spread the word! Updates will happen here in parallel to my FA site for the comics in order to have a "clean" link that hasn't been branded with the "NSFW" tag to pass to friends.

Well this is different... something that I didn't plan on gets lots of positive feedback. I like drawing in toony style but I'm still nowhere near as good as I would like to be and that first cartoon was just to try out whether I could pull off something like that at all. As I'm now working on the fourth issue I think it's safe to call it semi-regular. Now I'm not going to make any promises regarding the schedule as I have a job, hobbies and a personal life. If I can make it to 25-ish issues in a year I'd call it a huuuge success...
Wow... another year passed and I haven't had any real content for this journal. I keep my "blogging" to my LJ account as much as possible, using Twitter as a backup for those little bits and pieces that wouldn't make a post on their own. So: there's no need for me to update here too. Let's say there's enough information overload as it is and I don't want to be another one of those "haven't you read it in my journal?" - "which one" - "can't remember" guys.
As it is, I plan to dig into photography a bit deeper than I have before in 2011 so there might be more updates here within the next 18 months or so. Standby for... ummm... hopefully lots a
